Who we are

Moyo Boerdery is based in the Thabazimbi bushveld area, a well known hunting Mecca in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, only 3 hours drive from Johannesburg International Airport. Moyo, a Shona word meaning “Heart”, will through our personal care and attention ensure that your hunting experience will be an experience of a lifetime.

Moyo is a registered hunting outfitter and conduct hunting safaris in South Africa, Tanzania, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.

Moyo is specializing in breeding of endangered antelope and other attractive species. These include Sable, Golden Wildebeest, Coffee Springbuck,

Saddleback Impala and Black Impala.

Moyo is operated by Edwin and Tinette Malan, which have been involved in hunting for the past 28 years. Our passion for the industry and

wildlife can been seen and experience through our service and friendship. You will arrive at Moyo as a stranger, but leave as a friend!

All staff is dedicated, well qualified and experienced, who share’s Edwin and Tinette’s passion for nature, hunting, game breeding and who strive to live up to the

company's motto "The difference between good and excellent is an infinite capacity for detail”.

Tanzania has some of the finest hunting grounds on the African continent, where large concentrations of game can still be found.  Due to the Tanzanian Government’s wise policy towards it’s wildlife heritage, vast portions of the country have been set aside for Game Preserves, Controlled Hunting Areas, and National Parks.

The Selous Game Reserve, the largest in the world, encompasses 54,000 sq. kilometers of Africa's most un-spoilt wilderness. Predominantly miombo woodland. It is uninhabited and divided into some 46 hunting blocks, varying in size from 300 to 500 square miles. Our Selous Concession Block R4, is located on the banks of the mighty Rufiji and Ruaha Rivers in the Northern part of the Selous Game Reserve.

Accommodation

Our camp is a well-appointed East African style, tents with en-suite bathrooms. A comfortable safari camp is an important aspect of your safari. You will find the accommodations at our camp among the finest in Africa. Regardless of camp location, you will experience the finest in African hospitality including hot showers and daily laundry service. The meals prepared by chefs are among the finest to be found in any hunting camp, worldwide. You will enjoy large variety of wild game dishes as well as a more traditional cuisine ...perfectly prepared. An exquisitely prepared meal accompanied by a fine bottle of wine is an unexpected pleasure of safari life.

We offer you original Africa hunting adventures in the vast, unspoiled, Mozambique wilderness. We operate a concession in GAZA Province on the Southern Eastern boundary of the famed Gonarezhou National Park of Zimbabwe that still boasts large populations of both big game and plains game. The huge area covers a wonderful range of varying habitat. As a result, we are able to offer a complete range of species available to Mozambique, ranging from the small and elusive forest Duikers to the big four, Leopard, Lion, Buffalo and Elephant.

The area stretches from the Chefu River in the South to the Save River in the North and stretches +/-15 km inland from the Mozambique/Zimbabwe Border.

Accommodation

Our camp is well-appointed with 5 x chalets with en-suite bathrooms (Showers only). The camp has a comfortable Lapa, which is made up of an open and closed braai area, lounge and fully equipped kitchen. The meals are prepared by chefs, among the finest to be found in any hunting camp, worldwide. You will enjoy large variety of wild game dishes as well as a more traditional cuisine perfectly prepared. An exquisitely prepared meal accompanied by a fine bottle of wine is an unexpected pleasure of safari life.
